Do parents need to install an app?

Yes — the TapScholar parent app is how a parent sees their child's day. It opens from a link, works like an app on the home screen, and needs no Play Store download. They sign in with their own mobile number and their child's date of birth, and see only their own child. It is included on the School plan.

What if a card is lost?

Issue a new card from the RFID Management screen and reassign it to the student in seconds. The old UID is blocked instantly. You only pay for the new card, 25 rupees.

How is the monthly fee calculated?

Per active student per month — 2 rupees on Starter, 5 rupees on School, which is the plan that includes the parent app. A 200-student school on School pays 1,000 rupees per month. Reader hardware is a one-time 2,000 rupees per gate and cards are 25 rupees each, which you can recover from students directly.

Does it work without internet?

TapScholar runs over your school Wi-Fi. If the connection drops at the gate, the reader shows that a tap did not register, so staff can re-tap — nothing is recorded incorrectly. Parent alerts queue and deliver automatically once you are back online.

Can the same card work for fees and library?

Yes. The card UID is the student's key across attendance, fees, dispersal and any future module — one card, whole school.

A typical school is live in a day: add students, assign cards, place the reader at the gate. The first tap works immediately.
